don't worry, be happy

Sometimes things don't go the way we want them to. Sometimes our plans get ruined and we can't do anything about it. Sometimes we've been waiting for something for so long only to find out we weren't going to get it after all. Sometimes things just do go the way we plan them to and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.. "
Jeremiah 1:5

I have always been worried of what the future held for me. Well not too worried but I would think about it once in a while.

Then, I came across this verse again. It is a familiar verse to me but it was a lovely reminder. It reminded me that I should not be worried about anything, at all.

The verse talks about how God knows us more than we even know our own selves. Thinking about this makes me realize that since he knows us wholly, shouldn't we trust him when it comes to the plans he has for us?

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

A New Year

Finally, a new year!
I couldn't be more excited to start my twenty-fifteen, to start fresh and to start a clean slate.

Looking back at the past year makes me feel so blessed with everything that has happened, both the good and bad.

2014 may not have the greatest ending but I am looking forward to how God will shower me and my family with his overflowing blessing and never ending grace.

2014 was filled with lasting memories and foolish blunders.

So here is to 2015.
A new year for greater opportunities, a year for growth.
The year where I let go of the past and focus on my future.
The year where I 'let go and let God' use me in ways my mind could not imagine.

A happy new year to all, xx.

When Love Arrives ♥

Don't you just love poems? They bring out the creativity in people. Whenever I write, I feel like such a pro that I could just keep going with a pen and paper.

I wasn't much of a poem enthusiast until I started reading them on tumblr and on blogs.
Here is one of my super-ultra-mega favorites. I don't know why but sometimes you get that I-want-to-cry-its-just-so-good kind of feeling after you watch something this heartwarming.

I found this a few years back when I was searching spoken word online. I loved it too much to not tell people about it. My class even used it as inspiration for our project.

Here is my favorite part.

"Maybe love stays, maybe love can't, maybe love shouldn't
Love arrives exactly when love is supposed to and love leaves exactly when love must"

Enjoy xx
